She released her debut single, Here in 2015, when she was just 19 years old. It received lots of acclaim and was well received by both listeners and critics. The Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it at 19. Even Rolling Stone named it as one of the top songs of the year. At the same time when she dropped Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful, one of her original five tracks that was featured on the Billboard Charts including Billboard Hot 100 for Canada as well as Billboard 200 for Canada's Album Charts. According to an interview Cara gave in conjunction with Rap Up, the song held a lot of significance for a lot people who listened to her story about learning to accept and love yourself. Cara is known for incorporating messages about mental health compassion and self-love in her songs. She has been struggling with anxiety and insomnia, both of which has influenced her music. Reuters reported that she called her album "half chaotic, but half done". Therapy helped her grow and urges other artists to follow the same path. Alessia Cara, a Canadian musician was born in Canada on July 11, 1996, was a daughter of Italian parentage. When she was just 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the foundation of her musical passion. In 2013, she performed some of her most loved songs on YouTube the most popular media platform. It was done to show that she had both the talent and confidence to be an artist. One of the songs Sweater Weather got her noticed by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create her tracks.
