Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on the 14th of March 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals at the same Games as well as the first gymnast to win three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles as well as her sister Adria Biles and Ronald Biles were adopted as children by the grandparents of Houston. Simone's fascination with gymnastics started when she was just six years old after a visit with her group of daycare children to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained under Aimee Borman's guidance until 2011. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and also a bronze medal at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Then she moved on to competitions at the elite level in 2011. In less than two years, she dominated the sport. Biles stood out by her consistent performance, her enthusiasm and level of challenge she made in each event--vault, uneven bars as well as balance beams and ground exercise.
